The Lawful Aspect of Agathalos (Lawful Good):

Name: Agathalos the Lightbringer
Followers: The Warriors of Light
Favored Weapon: Battleaxe
Symbol: A golden sun with seven rays.

A rigid and disciplined organisation, The Warriors of Agathalos are not content with merely doing good, the warriors of Agathalos actively seek out and destroy evil in all its forms. They do not seek to rehabilitate evil, nor teach it the error of its ways. They seek to erradicate it from the land. When faced with the choice of destroying evil or saving the innocent, they will usually choose to destroy the evil, arguing that to do otherwise would endanger more innocents in the future, and besides, the innocent will get their rewards in the afterlife.

Whilst they would not directly harm the innocent, their sometimes callous attitude and their treatment of those judged to be evil has garnered them a reputation for being quite merciless. The Lightbringer is also worshipped as a War Diety by those who beleive in "just" wars, or would rather believe that than admit that the destruction brought by Demmion the Merciless is probably closer to the true face of war.

Characteristics: Shafhalóa stands 5'10" tall. He has a brown complexion. His eyes are grey and his hair is brown. Shafhalóa is a devout worshipper of Agthalos and supports the church of Agthalos as a Crusader. Shafhalóa is on a quest to find his lost brother. Parents seperated brothers at birth. Cevin is the other brother. Shaf wanders town to town after that. His mannerisms are aggressive when it comes to fighting for a cause. He favors those who fight for his god, but is quick to show mercy to those who do not follow.

Òurias Noíragga

Characteristics: The most distinguishing feature of Òurias are his eyes. They are a sparkling grey. It was said that his eyes were once green, but when he saw the glory of his god, they changed color. They "gleam" yet even in the dark. When Òurias saw the glory of his god, it whitened his hair with grey streaks. His eyes were affected too. They became luminous-like similar to cat eyes. The iris and the retina were "enlightened with glory" just the same as those who fought with him in Arden. This distinguishing feature is called, the "Eyes of Srí" (Eyes of the Sun). Men and women who have beheld the glory of Uísara Uír are deemed the Sríon (People of the Sun). Most of the gods and goddesses in the Ardònic Pantheon have this distiguishing feature of the eyes as well. In olden times, this was called the "Eyes of Omhan."

Time Period Background: Why Òurias Noíragga "the Purifier?" In Arden's history, there was a period of time, when Mount Kravòkalla had fallen to the evil forces of the goddess Akkævall, the goddess of desire. Due to the birth of her two unholy children (Daídha and Mishfa), blackness encompassed Arden, especially since the Light had gone out of King Exiv. Also, since the Father of the unholy children was the Last Guardian, unbalance in the Elemental Points upset order. Akkævall's two children were safely purged out of Arden to the Forgotten Realms, but this did not restore the order in Arden. She had received great powers by conceiving two immortal children. There was no control over the Elemental Point of Uran. It was lost, and so was King Exiv! Because of this catastrophe, Kuírbha, god of lightning, assumed leadership of the gods. This created chaos. Kuírbha raised his Wraiths of Shaòva (Lightning) to haunt the inhabitants of Arden. These evil wraiths instilled terror on the face of Arden, and recruited the "undead" to destroy the living. These wraiths caused a deep sleep to fall on the living, and many of the living souls were driven to insanity during this time. By a single touch, these wraiths caused the curse of insanity and the "deep sleep." Those who escaped the doom fled beyond the Mirror Sea to the Isle of Dreams, north of Draccòna. This period of time was in an era of descent, often called "The Black Sleep."

In the year of 12,000BA, Jax - Owedæghax or Onwedæghax - the Last Guardian arrived at Mount Kravòkalla to put an end to the nasty control of Kuírbha, the lightning god. Myth has rumored that Krav was doomed to sleep for eternity and could not stay in Arden. According to legend, Krav returned to Plíagge to rest. Jax restored the balance to the Elemental Points with the use of his Cognition and his ability to manipulate energy. Finally, at Mount Kravòkalla, the God of the Concordant Summit (or Uísara Uír) appeared to Jax. He appeared to him in "full glory, brighter than the sun, and wounded as a Lamb." Jax was instructed to follow this god, but legend only has it that Jax died without receiving the salvation of this God. Myth has it that his Cognition was too prescient to bear anymore that effects of insanity consumed him. Because of this, Jax failed his quest, and the name mharabhàunt was attributed to this god. The name mharabhàunt means "bitter taste," and because Jax failed his quest, the name was idyllic of the Last Guardian's folly and failure, according to legend. This name remained throughout time, until Daulky Kinkayle later on.

Background on Òurias: Òurias the Purifier belongs to the Order of Rhuisagoàda. This Order was organized after the Last Guardian restored Mount Kravòkalla. Most of the legends surrounding the Concordant Summit (Uísara Uír) have their roots in this Order. Òurias and his fellow clerics belong to the Elfen Kingdom of Cátern. When the "Black Sleep" plagued mankind, these clerics formed their own Sacred Clan, the Clan of the Rock (Coner) and fought the Wraiths of Lightning and the Undead off. Raising a Holy Crusade in the name of the Faceless God of the Concordant Summit, who was the same god that appeared to Jax at Mount Kravòkalla, these Clerics fought a Crusade to restore life to Arden.

For Seven Years, these gallant Clerics fought and warred against the evil of Kuírbha and his wraiths. Finally, at the present day town of Conería, the Clerics had the final blow against the evil wraiths and won. Mankind awoke from the "Black Sleep," and at Conería, the Faceless God appeared, as a pillar of fire to the Clerics. There, the Faceless God instructed the Clerics to build an altar in his Name. The Faceless God said he would return to the altar when a lamb is wounded. When the lamb is wounded, he will raise all the Righteous Knights who had fallen in his Name on the Final Day. Without question, the Clerics erected the altar to this Faceless God, but pondered on the vision. The Faceless God did not give out his name. Men started calling this god, "All in All," for he was All and is in All. He was the Concordant Summit, the Uísara Uír.

Personal: These mysteries confused Òurias and he did not understand them. He was arrogant and believed he should have the right to know the True Name of his god. After all, he had the final blow of victory against the evil undead in Arden. It was his Charisma, which granted him favor in his Order. Òurias intervened between this god and his fellow clerics. Òurias fought for this god. He preached out of the Book of the Morning.

His Sin: Òurias and his Very Large Head! Òurias is arrogant at times and aggressive. His aggressiveness granted him succession against the Wraiths of Lightning, but it gets him into trouble at times. Yet, very understanding and friendly, he has an aggressive angst and attitude against wickedness and evil, and all who stand for it. He has a bloodlust for battle and righteousness. He upholds the law and promotes war (his Domains).

ÒURIAS: "Blasted! I should know the name of my own god! I deserve to know! I saved the land! All this I did and he won't give his name?"
ÒURIAS: "Give me your name, so that I can deliver your messages to the land. You will have fame and glory, if people knew your name."
UÍSARA UÍR: "I cannot tell you my true name. Someone else shall know of it and speak of it. Not you."
ÒURIAS: "When will your lamb be wounded? Shall we just call you a bitter taste?"
UÍSARA UÍR: "Build me an altar. Do as you are instructed! One day you will see. One day, I will share my true name, for it is as a sword."
ÒURIAS: "Why are you such a mystery? Why not tell us who you are? The land would rest in your name. We would humbly follow you."
UÍSARA UÍR: "What makes you think, you are the worthiest to hear my name? Who are you to know my mysteries? My thoughts are not yours, and my ways are not yours. Go your way. Build me an altar, Òurias. It will be as an omen!"

Òurias built the altar to this Nameless god with his fellow clerics, but one day, out of anger to the mystery of the Nameless and Faceless God, Òurias struck the sacred altar in rage…

UÍSARA UÍR: [anger] "Òurias! You have defiled my altar! Why have you struck my altar? You have sinned and mocked the lamb who is wounded. I must cast you out of MY realm, where you must seek retribution for your anger."
ÒURIAS: "Forgive me, please!"
UÍSARA UÍR: "You are forgiven by my mercy! However, I cannot keep you in my realm with the bloodguilt on your hands. Remember that I will be with you for all time! I am All and in All."

Òurias has poofed into Ravenloft for his "penance."

Ravenloft Background: Òurias lead a rebellion against Kristof, the Dark Lord with a band of Clerics of good and loyal Clerics in Necropolis. These ineffective but noble clerics were all but left after another Dark Lord called upon the dead to rise and destroy Necropolis. His campaign in search of the Dark Lord Kristof spanned nearly 2 decades. Originally sent out with the order from citizens in Necropolis, a town which had fallen the Dark Mists of Ravenloft. Succombed by the dead there, this is also the place Òurias poofed into Ravenloft from his Homeland of Arden.

Pursuing Kristof for more than 13 years, Òurias was caught and detained in prison, and forced to watch the slaughter of his comrades by Kristof. Kristof drank their blood in the sight of Òurias to spite his efforts, catching him.
