Davon Kinkayle

Dabheòn cGínncáelha, "horse warrior of Clan Kaíl." Davon Kinkayle was the father of Dermit Kinkayle, who in turn was father to Daulky. Davon was the first uílaul in Clan Kaíl. The son of Shalíes the Invincible, was betrothed to a woman from West Thoris. This union began the lineage of the uílaul Clan Kaíl. The surname, Kinkayle, was adapted by Davon during his conscription to King Tristan. Those kin of Shalíes also adapted the name as well.

Deáiscí

West. Direction of west on the compass.

Deís Àirthaceàbhain

West Archive. The largest elfin town in the Kingdom of Cátern and sits at the base of the Kue Mountains. Also, it remains in the threshold of land called the Thareàsh nEàsceànn, "the Vergence of the East." It is mainly populated by nobles and the royal households of the elfin lands. West Archive is the priniciple town of Lower Durkshuír. Tarlor Shuirdath remained propeitor and keeper of Lower Durkshuír throughout the reign of King Tristan. Unfortunately, the Duchy of Durkshuír was usurped by the Fire Prince of Iakon, and the land succombed to the fire of King Ilùviuks. See "Upper and Lower Durkshuír."

Delgrash Divergence

Delgrash àu-Threàsh, "Path of the Balance." The Delgrash Divergence is a strip of road, bypassing the outskirts of Dunsha City on the west, and heading south towards Nagel Port. The Delgrash Divergence is the main route between the southern kingdoms of men in the Kue Empire.

Dermit Kinkayle

dTerrmoít cGínncáelha, "Amazing Clan Kaíl." Father of Dermit jr, Daulky and Karah Kinkayle. Husband of Theá of Ely. The service of Dermit in King Tristan's kingdom was important for keeping peace in the western lands of Durkany. At request of his father, General Davon, Dermit was recruited to join forces against the invading Kue in the Ely Region and in Thoris Port. Much later, after his services were complete, Dermit, Theá and Dermit Junior were tricked and murdered at Galf Orchards, leaving only Daulky and Karah to carry on the family line of Kinkayle.

Devon, Statue of

Àir Debhaòn. The statue that the Cavandish, a sept clan of T'Bleth, erected at Venluísa. It was an abomination to those who protected horses, because it was half-horse and half-man. The defecting Cavandish remained at Venluísa for many years until Coánir rebuilt Vall. There, they worshipped the statue, but upon seeing the abomination, Coánir and an army of uílaul marched through Venluísa, laying waste those who practiced the worship of the statue. Secretly, the staute was carried back to T'Bleth in the Swamps, where it remains today. See "Cabhaindísh, Clan of."

Dunsha City

Dunsha Shamíer, "Sad-Lands of the Prince." Dunsha City is the central town to Clan Shadiisha, a clan of men, calling themselves the protectors of water. After the cursed army of Dunsha was dispatched against the elves during the reign of King Exiv, those who remained in Dunsha City united to protect water and the possible downfall of their kingdom, for they saw the signs towards the destruction of three kingdoms of men. Dunsha City was founded by Arda ní Arden during the First Era, and it is the hometown of Owedæghax, the Last Guardian. After the fall of King Exiv, Dunsha City was sacked and annihilated by an army of Wuàde from the Crystal Island in the East, one of the sites where the Bibhon conspire in Arden.

Dunsha Divergence

Dunsha àu-Threàsh. A strip of road intersecting Dunsha City, extending north east to Alkagora and west to Tristan Point on the Kue Mountains. On the outskirts of Deduá Forest in the east, two white towers stand (Thíra Cuirnn) on either side of the road marking the entrance into the East. The stretch of road extending into the Kue Mountains is guarded from Tristan Point.

Dunsha, Kingdom of

One of the strongest kingdoms of men. Home to the original subjects of King Exiv when he arrived from Mount Kravòkalla. The Dunshites felt the brutal taste of judgement three recorded times in history. During the First Era, the Army of Roul was cursed; in the Second Era, the capital town of Dunsha City was annihilated and devastated. Lastly, during the Sixth Era, King Ilùviuks sent a network of spies into Dunsha City to learn its secrets and defense. There, he betrayed and tricked the Duchess Tiá, who then tried hunting down Itheùks T'Bleth to kill him. Dunsha City was sacked once again later with aid from the Dracconains in the North.

Dusk, Clan of

Dusceàin. The Clan which inhabits the Kue Mountains and thereabouts. It is legend that Clan Dusk are the original race of men, known as the Westbound Sojourners, who came from the Dark Continent and the Glory of Shekìnya. Clan Dusk parcelled a portion of the mountain to King Tristan as a charter for Kema-Kot Castle. In this charter, the clan also parcelled Blave Point and the Traversse Gardens to the king. Though, Blave Point is widely known as cursed, the importance of the garden was twofold in later times. First, the gardens was the exact location where the light went out of King Exiv and, second, it is also the burial of Daulky Kinkayle. See "Vishdusk."
